Step 2: Change the following Group Policies:

The following tweaks reduce the amount of telemetry Windows 10 sends to Microsoft.

Open “Group Policy Editor”, navigate to the following policy, and set it to 0. Security :

Step 3: Run OO ShutUp10:

OO ShutUp10 is a tool that helps deactivate certain functions of Windows 10 that are unnecessary or overly invasive. On my installation, I disabled almost every feature, including services such as Windows Defender. However, please note that the configuration for ShutUp10 depends heavily on the use case of the computer.

Step 4: Apply Personal Tweaks:

• Enable Developer Mode in Settings
• Navigate to Control Panel. System Security. Power Options, and select “Ultimate Performance”

You can then re-enable automatic computer sleep in the Power sleep settings

Windows 10 has a lot of different versions. There is Windows 10 Home for regular folks. Then there are versions for enterprise-grade customers. Among the enterprise versions, there is a version called the Windows 10 Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC)

So, what is Windows 10 LTSC? importantly, how is it different from regular Windows 10? Let’s see.

Tiny10: Is It Really That Much Different From Regular Windows 10?

When Tiny10 boots up for the first time, it is hard to distinguish that it is a toned-down version of Windows 10. But as soon as you press the Windows key, you notice that all clutter is missing from the Start menu. There are only a few folders, each with inbuilt Windows utilities but no unnecessary apps. It doesn’t even contain Microsoft Store. Thankfully, it includes the Edge browser which would otherwise be very difficult to download and install anything from the web.

The system resource consumption isn’t too bad either. On an idle load, the operating system consumes nearly one GB of RAM. If you start a browser, the memory usage shoots up. While it is perfectly capable to run on 2 GB RAM, the overall experience will be much better if you use a 2-4 core processor and 4 GB RAM.

What is Tiny10 (or Windows 10 Lite)?

Tiny10 is a lite version of Windows 10 that has been developed by an individual developer @ntdev. The same developer has put out a number of projects that deal with lite versions of the Windows OS that you can check out on his YouTube Channel. With a lite version of Windows 10, you will be having a smoother experience of Windows on your PC- whether it’s an older one or a new one.

With Tiny10, you can expect better performance, fewer system resources usage, and above all, a smaller installation footprint on your storage drives. Tiny10 is good for those who simply used a system for basic stuff such as some office programs or maybe just to stream from your favorite OTT services.

Tiny10 can also be installed on either 32-bit or 64-bit systems, which is a good thing considering a lot of OSs out there are only providing support for 64-bit systems. With Tiny10 you will get a very basic version of Windows 10 sans Microsoft Store and Windows Defender. Oh, it also skips out any web browsers including Microsoft Edge. Just because Tiny10 is a lite version of windows, that doesn’t stop you from being able to install a number of programs as well as games on your system.

In fact, you might even tend to see better performance of the programs and games on your PC.
